Petra is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Illinois and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, certified by the NCCAOM. She brings over 3,500 hours of academic and clinical training experience to her practice. She earned a Master's Degree in Mathematics from Palacky University in the Czech Republic. However, her path soon shifted. Driven by her belief in the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit, and the holistic approach to healing, Petra pursued and obtained a Master of Science in Acupuncture, specializing in Chinese Herbal Medicine, from the Pacific College of Health and Science in Chicago in 2017.
In addition to her clinical training at the college, Petra augmented her experience with additional internship hours at the Chicago Woman’s Health Center. Before obtaining her acupuncture license, she spent a year apprenticing under her mentor, Frank Scott, at the Wellspring Integrative Medicine clinic in Evanston, further honing her skills in herbal medicine and acupuncture. She also holds a certification in cosmetic acupuncture.
Petra's professional interests include women's health, digestive issues, and the integration of somatic and psycho-emotional health. She is passionate about assisting individuals with a variety of health concerns, including musculoskeletal pain, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular issues, and more. Petra is a firm believer in the synergistic potential of integrating Western and Eastern medical philosophies to identify the root causes of illnesses and develop personalized treatment plans for her patients.

My quest for high-quality holistic medicine led me to the Traditional Chinese Medicine program at Pacific College of Health and Science in Chicago.
